From their first sleepy yawn to their wobbly first steps, your baby will grow more in their first year than any other time in life. The First Year Album is a collection of milestone sessions designed to document that incredible transformation—newborn, sitter, one year, and everything in between.
Each session is styled to complement the last, creating a cohesive, heartfelt story. You’ll receive a full digital gallery from every session, and when your journey is complete, your favorite images will be hand-selected and designed into a custom heirloom album—one your child will treasure for a lifetime.
Whether you book the full collection from the start or add on as you go, you’re investing in more than photos. You’re preserving the story they’ll come back to again and again.

Planning Your First Year Album

Nope! You’re welcome to start with a single session and decide later to continue. If you choose to build the full First Year Album, I’ll apply any session credit toward the full collection.

There are different options for how many and what type of sessions you can pick for your First Year Album.
Most families choose to have a session about every 2-3 months for the first year. Some even have a session once a month and/or add maternity as well.
We’ll work together to create a timeline that fits best for your baby and your vision. Below are listed detailed outlines of potential First Year Albums with sessions from once every three months to once a month. If you do not see a suggested package that matches your desire, please contact me to discuss your vision in detail!

Each session includes a personalized setup (according to your vision and session type) in my studio near Ames Lake, access to my carefully styled props and wardrobe, and a full gallery of edited, high-resolution images to download and keep.

At the end of the year, I’ll curate your favorite images from each session into a custom-designed heirloom album with your baby’s milestones (if applicable). It’s crafted to last for generations—something your child will open again when they become a parent themselves.

After each session’s digital gallery delivery, you will be able to favorite photos from the session. From there I will create a custom-designed heirloom First Year Album with your baby’s major milestones (if applicable). After the digital gallery delivery of your baby’s first birthday session, I will finalize the album and it will be delivered directly to your doorstep!

The First Year Album is paid for session by session. Payment is done through an online portal with a credit card. A 25% retainer (of the original session fee) is paid upfront, the rest of the payment is due the day of the session and the card on file will be charged. If you would prefer to pay the full amount upfront, you may do so, and I will give you coupon codes to book individual sessions or work directly with you to book them.
All pricing is transparent, and listed on the website. Sessions list the deliverables and the cost. Sales tax will be applied.

Sessions will be paid in full so whomever you are gifting the session to, does not have to worry about anything besides picking the date!

What to Expect
Step 1
Decide if I am the right photographer for you. Do my images and concepts speak to you? Is this how you want your memories captured?
If so, let’s work together!
Step 2
Contact me to discuss in detail about what/how you want to capture the first year of your little one’s life. It is important that you are confident in your decision to work with me for a full year and create your child’s baby book!
Step 3
Confirm your desired package. We will work together to start your First Year journey, making sure there is a vision that can tie all of your sessions together, as desired!
Step 4
Start scheduling your sessions!
Each session will be scheduled and paid for individually.
Step 5
Attend all photoshoots and receive the full digital galleries, favoriting your selection of images for the album!
Step 6
After your child’s first birthday photoshoot, await the arrival of your custom baby book!
